Do you board pets at your facility?

We do not board any pets at our facility. We prefer to keep the pets where they feel most comfortable, in their own home!

Do you work during the holidays?

A.

Of course we work holidays! Be sure to book your appointment early, since space is limited!

I’m interested in setting up an appointment. How soon do I need to call the Pet Sitter?

A.

As soon as you finalize your travel dates, call the sitter to book your appointment. We will schedule a meeting one week (7 days) before your trip to go over final sitting details.

I have made an appointment to meet with the Pet Sitter. What do I need to provide?

A.

Here are some of the things you will need to provide for our meeting:

  • House keys and alarm codes
  • Pet food location
  • Litter box or Poop scoop location
  • Feeding directions and food location
  • Medication and administration instructions (if needed)
  • Veterinarian name, address and phone number
  • Emergency contact phone numbers or vacation itinerary

The Critter Sitter may also ask for the following things:

  • Cleaning supplies
  • Leash and collar location
  • Pet carrier/kennel location (in case of emergency)
  • Treats

Magic Paws Pet Sitting also requires you to sign paperwork regarding allowing entrance into your home and, in case of emergency, owner financial responsibility for any veterinary intervention*.

*We will always try to contact you first before veterinary intervention is done.*

How far is your service area? How much do you charge for your services?

A.

Magic Paws Pet Sitting covers the Simi Valley, San Fernando Valley, and San Gabriel Valley.

Prices vary depending on the number of visits to your home for feeding/letting out, and distance traveled. Overnights are $60 per night, which includes a morning and evening feeding.

Is Magic Paws Pet Sitting Insured?

Magic Paws Pet Sitting is insured through Pet Sitters Associates.

Do you provide overnight care?

A.

At this date, Magic Paws Pet Sitting is no longer doing overnight stays. We may start up the overnight option again at a future date, but scheduling conflicts prevent this currently. Thank you for your consideration.

Magic Paws Pet Sitting offers a variety of services for new and returning clients. These services are included in each pet sitting visit:

  • Feeding your pets
  • Cleaning up yard mess/litter boxes
  • Playtime
  • Administration of Medication
  • Horse Turnout
  • Mail and Newspaper Pickup
  • Trash removal (to the curb)

Magic Paws Pet Sitting will also text message or photo message you with updates on your pets.
